Ten years of married life is a fantastic achievement. Now, I am not sure about you, but I could simply not survive without my wife and although I would like to think this sentiment is mutual, I have a feeling that the scales of work, organisation, and childcare are very much tipped in her favour! So what better way of redressing the balance, than surprising her with a fabulous holiday.
I thought of returning to where I proposed (Lizard Island in Australia) but felt that a little un-romantic and not original enough. So, I have settled on the wonderfully exotic islands of The Seychelles. Thanks to our great friends at British Airways, you can now fly directly from London to Mahe, and what could be more blissful to celebrate our ten wonderful years together than two weeks island hopping in this tropical paradise. It’s important to note that I very much plan to keep this wedding anniversary treat as a surprise… as if I tell her too early, she might want to bring the children!!
Whatever anniversary or occasion you are celebrating I believe the key ingredients are;
1) Talking to a travel expert to help you find the perfect thing. Not only to inspire you but also to keep your imagination and budget in check! After all, anything is possible, it’s just about how much you want to spend!
2) Plan ahead to ensure the best airfares, rooms, and locations. Remember to tell everyone you can (especially our team) it’s your wedding anniversary as we have a huge number of anniversary specific offers and extra treats that we can arrange to help you celebrate! All hoteliers love a celebration. I’m very excited that we have a candlelight dinner on the beach thrown into the price of our holiday, courtesy of the beautiful Denis Island.
3) This sounds odd… but just do it! There is an old saying that you never regret the things you have done… only the things you haven’t! I now very much hope that this holiday will tip the scales of favour very much in my direction and I strongly suggest gentleman and ladies, if someone in your life has given you ten years of love, friendship and companionship, both you and they deserve a little celebration.
Remember – love where you go as much as who you go with.
