Rebooking and refund options for strike dates:
All flights to and from London City and London Gatwick will continue to operate normally and any changes to bookings on these flights are subject to the original fare rules.
All longhaul and shorthaul flights to and from London Heathrow are governed by the following guidelines:
- the options available if you are due to travel between 18 and 23 May
- the options available if you are due to travel between 24 and 29 May
- the options available if you are due to travel between 30 May and 4 June
- the options available if you are due to travel between 5 and 9 June
- how you can change or cancel your booking now
If you are due to travel between 18 May and 23 May
If you are booked to travel on any Heathrow flights between 18 May and 23 May and wish to change your travel plans, you can now:
- Rebook onto a BA flight to the same destination for up to 355 days from the original date of travel at no additional cost, subject to availability.
Refunds will only apply if the fare rules for your ticket allow it.
Additional flights:
If your booking includes a BA flight outside of these dates, a flight to or from London City or London Gatwick or one operated by our franchise, codeshare or alliance partners you will be able to change these flights at the same time.

- All changes must be made prior to the departure of the original flight
- Tickets booked after 10 May are not covered by these guidelines.
- If you claim a full refund and then discover your original flight is going to operate, you will be treated as a new customer and can purchase a ticket at the prices available at the time.
- If you rebook onto a flight outside of the strike period and subsequently discover that your original flight is going to operate then you will be allowed to rebook back onto the original flight at no extra cost, subject to availability.

On Thursday 13 May they will announce the longhaul flying schedule and on Friday 14 May they will announce their shorthaul flying schedule for flights to and from London Heathrow operating between 18 and 23 May.
If your flight is still operating the options detailed above will still be available to you:
If your flight is cancelled you will be able to:
- Rebook onto another British Airways flight on the same route within 355 days of the original date of travel at no extra charge, subject to availability
OR
- Rebook onto another British Airways flight to/from the nearest alternative airport (for example, if booked to/from Boston you could rebook to/from Philadelphia or New York) at no extra charge, subject to availability.
OR
- Rebook onto an agreed alternative airline, subject to availability.
OR
- Cancel your booking and obtain a refund to the original form of payment
