With spring in the air, we have handpicked its top 10 cool pools from across the world. What could be better than slipping into the water for a refreshing dip after a day of exhilarating experiences in one of the four corners of the Earth? From the South Pacific to Africa and the Indian Ocean, California and the Caribbean, these are
Turquoise Holidays’ top 10 pools to write home about.

1. Hemingways Ol Seki Mara, Kenya (*NEW – June 2019*)

With some of the best views in the Mara, overlooking a beautiful watering hole and Koiyaki plains, Hemingways Ol Seki Mara’s new pool will be the perfect vantage point for game viewing from the comfort of a lounger or a deck chair, with G&T in hand. The new pool will be built into the rock, traditionally common sunbathing spots for the lodge’s friendly rock hyrax.

2. Vomo Island Resort, Fiji (opened April 2019*)

This month sees the launch of a magnificent new adults-only Rocks swimming pool, on the western tip of Vomo Island. Once you’ve had your swim fix, walk around the island at low tide on Vomo’s powdersoft white sand beaches, hike to the top of Mount Vomo or grab a club and enjoy the island’s very own nine-hole pitch and putt golf course.

3. Nautilus Island, Maldives (opened January 2019)

The pool at The Nautilus is jaw-dropping, overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean. It has a wonderful poolside bar serving tapas and cocktails, as well as complimentary canapés all day. This is the hotel’s sunset hot-spot where drinks and small bites are served each evening as sundowners.

4. Banyan Tree Seychelles

An all-time favourite with the Turquoise team. On the pretty south-west coast of Mahé, this is a fabulous infinity pool that almost melts into the sky and sea. The resort’s 60 pool villas tumble down a craggy hillside punctuated with granite boulders and emerald green takamaka trees to the powder white soft sands of Anse Intendance – widely regarded as one of the finest beaches on the planet – so guests will be spoil for choice beyond the pool itself.

5. Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, South Pacific

Taking full advantage of its magnificent setting on a private islet in Bora Bora’s turquoise lagoon, the views from the pool at Four Season Resort Bora Bora are simply spectacular. Across the dazzling azure waters, the lush green peak of majestic Mount Otemanu enthralls even the most well-travelled visitor, with white sand beaches and coral islets adding to the magic.

6. Marataba Mountain Lodge, South Africa

Tucked away in the malaria-free Marakele National Park, Marataba Mountain Lodge is the perfect place to reconnect with the outside world. Although the lodge has been created for those who want to be out in the bush on foot, the infinity Rock Pool is not to be sniffed at, with beautiful views across the contrasting mountain landscapes, and grass-clad hills of the Marakele Park.

7. Munduk Moding, Bali

This laid-back eco-lodge is in the midst of a working coffee plantation and is dotted with pools cantilevered over rich green ravines, where Bali’s skies blend with the water of the infinity pool, the seas and the volcanoes of Java.

8. Six Senses Yao Noi, Thailand

Resting in the ocean halfway between Phuket and Krabi, guests taking a dip in this breathtaking infinity pool will feel that they can almost swim out and touch the iconic limestone shard of Phang Nga Bay. Magical!

9. Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, Saint Lucia

Enveloped between the majestic Pitons, symbolic of Saint Lucia, and lush tropical rainforest, Sugar Beach is in a prime location on the west coast of the island. There is no better location to relax on a lounger and look up at the wonderful jungle-clad mountains.

10. Parker Palm Springs, California

It’s no wonder the Hollywood elite still escape to Palm Springs for some sunshine and a party at the weekend when the pools look like this. Parker Palm Springs sits within 13 acres of landscaped gardens and winding pathways. After a hot day in the desert, or a game of tennis, stop at the candy-striped lemonade stand which serves freshly squeezed lemonade, using fruit from the hundreds of citrus trees around the property.
